Pistol Calibre Carbines: Why? What's their benefit?

Az.tech armory is the canadian dealer for those cx4 upgrade parts. Sierra papa is the company that makes them in the US.

Wish I knew about this before. The trigger was the only reason I sold my cx4. Trigger was bad enough to make me hate the whole rifle because of it. But hindsight is never useful when you need it. Oh well, I don't miss the cx4 that bad.

Light, cheap to feed, easy to shoot, zero recoil and a ton of fun.
The only reason I don't own one is because there isn't one worth the sticker price available in Canada at this time. That's just my personal opinion though.

I own two in 9mm and I can say:
- Cheap to shoot. Cheaper if you reload.
- Low recoil.
- Unlike ARs you can get them none-restricted.
- Very reliable. The ones I have anyway.

CX4 also works with my Beretta 96A1 magazines. The Sierra papa trigger makes a huge difference. If you go that direction, I would suggest taking a lot of pictures of the trigger group, prior to taking it apart. The instructions from Sierra Papa are not as clear as they could be. They do make sense after you have completed the project.

There also have been update to the lower
There is extra spacer plate if you have the newer lower
Take a lot of pictures and send them to Sierra and they will be able to tell you which kit you need

As a range toy, my 9mm AR is the most fun I've had. Here are the main benefits (for me):

- Cheap(er) ammo.
- 10rd pistol mags that work great (LAR-15 9mm pistol mags, Colt SMG pattern).
- Can shoot at steel up close (10yds)
- Still enough recoil with the blowback system that there's still some to manage.
- Did I mention FUN?

Futher, if you need NR, there are a lot of options too. Also, you can get hits out at distance if you know what you're doing. Check out the video below:

Reading through all the posts, I’m starting to see the benefits of the 9mm PCC; thanks!

Now, I really like the look of a Colt mag fed 9mm AR but don’t know where to look? I found the Quarter Circle 10’s but I understand there’s a bit of controversy surrounding their lowers now? Any other options? A PSA lower through IRunGuns?

Like the Angstadt but don’t like the angled mag (yeah, it’s all about looks, lol).

Thanks, y’all.

If you are shooting restricted on a range that only goes out to 200m you can do "long range shooting" cheaply. And if restricted, the paper doesn't care about the terminal ballistics.
Great for beginners due to lack of recoil. I used to get paid to shoot 9mm Sterlings on semiauto, and that was always pure fun. Sometimes we had to use up the remaining ammo extra quickly, that was doubleplus fun.

What controversy about Quarter Circle 10 lowers?

What controversy about Quarter Circle 10 lowers?

I think those are the ones the CFO said some were converted auto or some crap like that, they wanted measurements of the receiver before they would complete transfers. I think most of them are good to go, I know a retailer that carries them and has had no issues.

What controversy about Quarter Circle 10 lowers?

Just what cr5 said above. I read some stuff on another thread about them being under review due to the thickness of the receiver wall or something like that? There’s been a few contradictory reports of some people having transfers go through with no problems, and others getting delayed due to confusion about where these lowers stand? Would love to hear some confirmed info as to where these are at in the review process.

Site sponsors Arms East carries the 9mm ARs made by Stag Arms here. Site sponsor Questar carries the mags here.

A friend bought a Stag and I'm impressed with it. They make good rifles.

The 22wrm has the same energy as the 9mm at 50 yards and is a more accurate round as the distance increases, so I think the CZ512 tactical carbine in many cases might be a more practical solution if you want to hunt with one
