Hey guys, I'd like to see your multi pistol cases and more specifically how you arranged them in the foam.

I'm trying to figure out a layout that will hold the most pistols plus accessories like eyes and ears. It doesn't matter to me if your case fits 2 pistols or you got 10 in there.

I'm more interested in how they are arranged. Are they upright or flat, multiple layers...

Thanks for taking your time to help out!

This is the most efficient layout I have found:

If it was a bigger box and I wanted space for my mags, ammo, glasses, muffs, etc., I would open up a big hole on one end instead of making slots for pistols.

Not as neat as some of the above cases, but it holds a lot of stuff.

Pelican 1510 with divider set. As it's set up, it holds 4 pistols, 2 AR lowers, 2 Conversion slides, ~10 pistol magazines and loader, registration slips, ear/eye protection, target patches, timer, pens/misc.

I substitute a layer of a layered closed cell polyethylene foam I get from Lee Valley as the top level. It holds up much better to wear, as well as providing more structure than the open cell pick-n-pluck they come with which protects better when being moved around. Only a 10 dollar upgrade.

I will get a picture.

Here is the layout, the only other 'different' think I do is that all pistols go in slide down and mag well up. Takes up less room, can fit longer barrels in there and easy to see that the mag is out of the pistol at a glance. You can see a dented area that will be back to normal in a minute, had a wheel gun that is just too big to fit in the slots on top and it dented the foam down a bit while it was in there.

The well on the right is wide enough to store ear muff style hearing pro and eye pro along with a few other bits and pieces like a maglula, spare conversion barrel, rudimentary maintenance.

Slick John.. a place for everything and everything in it's place :)

Thanks guy, and yes, it definitely served the purpose. A number of years ago, a guy that was pretty deep into Bullseye and competition shooting, made them as a sideline. He happened to be a cabinet maker by trade in Victoria if I recall correctly. Quinton Mar. I believe he also made the pivoting scope mount attached to the inside of the lid.
