Hey folks,

I've just taken possession of my first autoloading pistol (CZ85 Combat, 9mm) and I have some cleaning/lubricating questions for you gurus out there:

1) I've read on the CZ forums that "Break Free CLP" (Cleans, Lubricates, Protects) is a popular product for cleaning semi-autos. Do any of you use it, and if so, where do you find it?

2) Anybody use Slide Glide or the like? What's your preference?

3) I also hear that silicone cloths are great for wiping down your weapon - is that the case? If so, do you use them, and where do you find them?

Thanks!

Bill

1. I use it and believe I bought my current bottle at Acklands.

2. Tried slide-glide, now use Wilson grease (just a white Li grease, but comes in a handy syringe.)

3. The silicone cloths are good for a quick wipe-down, but I prefer to coat my guns in a light coat of gun oil for storage. I think my silicone cloth came with a cleaning kit I bought a while back..............
