Do you know where in canada you can buy these ? I just bought a 14 inch 590 and just have a regular PG.

This is with the Shockwave Raptor Grip installed. Just barely legal.

The raptors are great for making legal length but they need a different profile to support the hand closer to the trigger. I have one on an 870 and compared to a speedfeed its night and day for grip position relative to the trigger. I built up the grip with some tape to be more comfortable but the best thing would be some epoxy putty to te shape the grip and support the hand in a better position.
I haven't tried one on a mossberg but I can only imagine it would be worse due to the already longer trigger reach of the mossberg design.
Speedfeed witness protection is my favorite grip for comfort so its not like I don't like "birds head " grips.
Get the raptor if you need a pistol grip for a 14"er but be prepared to reprofile the grip for comfort! I used some foam strips cut and contoured with hockey tape over top.

they are smooth. i had to add grip tape on my old one too.

You should also look at the Blackhawk Knoxx recoil-reducing Breacher pistol grip. Should give the length you need with a more traditional pistol grip geometry. Plus some recoil absorbtion.

Edit: looks like they don't make the Knoxx Breacger for the 590. Odd...

Grip tape or stippling for sure, but it's more the shape that is the issue. The speedfeeds are smooth as well but the grip curves down sooner so there's a pocket for you hand to get some support as you pull back on the grip while pushing forward with your front hand.
The original speedfeeds are well designed but they are about 3/8" too short for our dumb overall length requirements....... longer then a ranchhand but not long enough for non restricted.
