Hi all!

I've been googling, but haven't been able to make up my mind.

I want a pistol grip that is rubberized, but I can't decide on the Hogue, or 2 version of the fab defense. Anyone who's used one or both of them, can you tell me how you liked them? I have smaller hands, so I don't really want one much larger than the stock a2 grip, but a little bigger shouldn't be a deal breaker.

The Hogue is very small, I'd look at the Ergo.

Very small as in similar in size to a stock A2? or smaller? I looked at the Ergo, but everywhere I found them was sold out. Then again my AR is a winter project, so it's not like I'm in a rush to get all the parts.

There is nothing wrong with magpul, but I'm attempting to make this a magpul-less carbine if I can help it.

My hands arent super large either and the MOE+ is a perfect fit. Just sayin'.

My second choice would probably be a Umbrella Corp grip, since I hate the grooves on the Fabs and Hogues.

I've never been a big fans of finger grooves myself. In fact I cut the groove part off the front grip on my 1911.

I'm not a big fan of the look of the umbrella... not sure why.

I think it's down to the hogue or the non finger grooved fab I posted... However I'm happy to entertain other options. I didn't even know the umbrella one existed until it was posted!

Since you are only interested in rubberized I won't comment on my favorite grip. I like feel of Hogue but don't really like all the finger grooves . I have since changed it out

I bought a couple of Mako's and love the feel ...sticks to your hand ! I use the one that has the finger groove like the one on the left , but the extended beavertail like the one picture on the right

One of the most comfortable grips I have . My only beef is the trap door is darn near impossible to open ( need loaded round or screwdriver )

The Makos is also made for large hands ...its pretty chubby

If you want rubbery look at the ERGO as well

If you have small hands, you should stay away from any grips with the duck bills that make the distance between the trigger and the thumb web longer.

I won't recommend the ergo if you have small hands.

You need to figure out how you squeeze the trigger. Are you using the first finger pad or the second? Different techniques have different reasons for doing different typesof shooting, and that affects you pistol grip choice.

Good point. I think when I'm in Calgary for an IPSC match next month I'll see what TSE has in stock and see if I can play with them. Then I can really figure out what I like. Honestly there's nothing wrong with the A2 grip, I just have rubber grips on every other gun, so I thought I'd try to find one for my oracle.
