Hi there,
I was reading the rules about production pistols and it's a bit confusing:
At one place it says: "If it's not on the list, it's not approved" and in the rule book it says: Original parts and components offered by the OFM as standard equipment, or as an option, for a specific model handgun on the IPSC approved handgun list are permitted.
The problem: I'm beeing offered a really nice SIG pistol that comes from germany. It's a P226 SL-SO BT: it's basically a P226 SL (Which is on the list, see spec here http://www.sigsauer.de/index.php?id=107&lang=en) but it comes equipped with a beavertail-rail steel frame (Just like a p226 elite stainless).
I've asked like 3 people I know and got mixed answers: One one side, sure it's not on the list, but on the other side, there are a bunch of SIG model variations and people don't think this one would give an unfair advantage (It doesnt come equipped with a match barrel, slide incrusted sights or anything special).
Is there someone somewhere who could give me a definite answer? Like a guru or ipsc production judge or something
