I've been keeping my eyes open for a good deal on some 308 mags for a Stag 10 build I have in progress, but I have been a little frustrated about the mag options. The PMAGs are pretty highly recommended and the price point is good, but 5 rounds. The XCR-M Pistol mags are a little more expensive and kind of awkward because of their size (I'm guessing as I don't actually have any), but they hold 10 rounds. After seeing some of the MFT polymer pistol mags and liking the idea, I sent Magpul an email pleading for a PMAG with a "pistol" stamp to come to the Canadian market. While they did not really give anything away, I thought this was encouraging!

"While we certainly love talking about our products, we cannot comment on anything that may or may not be in development. Please visit www.Magpul.com for the latest product announcements or follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. "

Even if they will, the hurdle will be proving to rcmp that the manufacturing procedure is very different from their rifle pmag.

And they need to be stamped xcr 308 pistol.

It's probably too niche of a product for magpul to do a full production run. I do own a XCR 308 pistol mag and, you're right, the length is a bit awkward. Mind you it's good for shooting prone of a bipod. I would love to see some dpms 20 rnd mag length XCR 308 pistol mags made by one of the companies that is making them. That would be a treat. I'd by a few hahah.

The XCR-M pistol mags with GS Designs extensions are in my opinion the best available solution. Yeah they're like $60 per mag at that point but you get the capacity you want and a magazine body size that's practical. I use a bit of hockey tape just to break up the colour difference between the plastic extension and the aluminum body.
