Hey Guys, just got my first pistol finally (7 years later lol), but heres my question

So I work out of town from where I live, and I have a range membership near where I work. I'm gone for 10 days at a time, and at the place I stay at I have a gun safe in my room (LUCKY!!). Can I legally bring my gun from home to the town where I work, and be able to go to the range without getting harassed. I wouldnt be taking my gun to work obviously, but when im not on the clock would like to go to the range with it. Anyone else in this scenario?

Thanks!

Sounds like a second residence to me. Notify the CFO that you have a second residence and your situation. Won't be a problem.

You are suppose to keep the gun at the address they have on file. No one will harass you because no one will know. Even if some one does, they won't care

Maybe if you ask nicely the CFO will have some common sense and let you have two storage locations

That would make way too much sense.

Whoa whoa whoa! Children will die, worlds will collide. The consequences of such logic will be felt for eons.

True, but this is the same CFO that strong-armed ATRS threatening to pull his business license ref selling NR rifles that were made prohib in the FRT, not via the OIC.

Jason Kenney needs to to get his head out his ass and replace the CFO with a Provincially appointed one like he campaigned on.

You may think he is a dud....but the lieberals and ndp are much worse...especially when it come to firearms. By the way the promise of appointing our own CFO in Alberta is happening.

The change to a provincial Cfo won’t happen overnight, the feds won’t make it easy. Saskatchewan is in the changeover still but it will be well worth it in the end.

If you are not leaving AB (your ATT covers ANY range in your province) this wouldn't be any different than going on vacation and taking your gun with you because there is a range you can visit.
As long as you aren't leaving it there when you are on time off.
If you want to extra safe just contact the AB CFO and they will send you a form to fill out for a alternate storage location.
