Pistol value question

I know an elderly lady who wants to sell her dead husband's pistols. She mainly wants them to go to a good home but I want to get her a fair price for them. I am a rifle guy and have no idea when it comes to pistols. What do you think the value would be of the following two pistols:

Taurus Model 86, .38 Spl., 6" barrel, blued with wood grips.

Smith and Wesson Model 17, .22 Calibre, 8 3/8" barrel. Also blued with wood.

For the SW 17 I would go in between 400-650 depending on the condition.
