Well, I have a Turk Mauser that has some deep pits in the reciever, is there any way of fixing these pits? My first thought was useing my mig to fill them in, then grind it smooth but it would probably weaken the steel. Any thoughts?

Depending of what kind of finish you are looking at the end, you can apply ArmaFill, look at the defore and after

But you will have to paint at the end for sure, this was a Broning BLR barrel.

Hope it will help you, i don't know any other solution. if you have VERY BIG hole, use ALIDhER or other very low temp solder, you can use regular blue propan torch and melt like lead, very tough but soft like LEAD result

Sendero, that turned out great! Were can I find Armafill? How do you apply it?I was wanting to park. it, but I think I may go the same route you did. The pitting I have is alote deeper than that, so I may have to fill it with solder, I will post some pics of the pitting too. So the mig is a bad idea then?
