Place to shoot pistol near CFB Borden?

I am going to Borden for 3 months on course, and would like to shoot on the weekends... I contacted Barrie Gun Club, and they are not really interested in non-members using their facilities.

Any other suggestions within an hour of Borden???

There is/was a club at Humber Station Rd. and Highway 9 North of Palgrave, and this would be about 20 minutes from CFB Borden. I believe the club is called Islington Acres.

Most clubs will require you to be a member though, but if you can find any info on this club I guess you could call and ask. I did a quick Google search and couldn't find a contact number.

Iam military out of wainwright , most bases have a rod and gun club . And in fact Borden has a great one . but if you are going on course It might be hard for a student to shoot . but as staff no problem
