Hey guys,
I saw on the lower mainland shooting map, that North of Coquitlam there is an area near Coquitlam Lake where "Use of Shotguns & Rifles With Single Projectiles are permitted". I looked on Google Maps and found Pipeline Road, however that road leads to a Quarry of some kind. Is there any other roads that lead to this area, where you can shoot?

I've attached an image of the area i'm talking about

not yet unfortunately.
Have you drive out there to explore the access to the pretty oval you have drawn?
There are lots of places to go and some may seem they are easy to get to, but without further exploration on your part it seems pointless(to me anyways) asking.
I live in Richmond and routinely drive beyond Hope to shoot rocks in a large gravel pit, that also allows deer and bear hunting when in season.
Not to mention the possibility of seeing Moose, Elk and Mountain goats.
Yes all within the Region 2 WMU.
You might give a better idea of where your starting point is and no I do not need your latitude and longitude either.
Tight Groups,
Rob

From what I've been told, there's no way to access that area unless you have a key/granted access to pass the gates, which I don't believe are given out to public. Coquitlam lake is a reservoir that supplies water to the lower mainland, BC hydro also uses it to direct water to buntzen for their power stations.
Someone from city of coquitlam/ bc hydro would probably have access.

I've been looking for a way to get into that area for years (I go 4x4'ing/exploring a lot). I have a key for eagle mountain (anyone with a 4x4 can obtain), but the trails don't take you far enough north to be able to shoot.
Let me know if you find a way...

i live just before the quarry, and as it is a reservoir access is restricted on the road.. wink wink.. if you want you can go around it but this requires the use of a dirtbike or lots of hiking. the road goes on for a bit and as there is a park on the right (pinecone ) u cant shoot till the end of the road plus 400m.
