Interested in any information about where to find parts for an M1 carbine in Canada. The extractor is the main peice I require but im interested in the whereabouts of most everything. Would like to avoid gross shipping costs from over the border!

Im finding the Plainfield carbine is compatible with alot of the usgi parts (I replaced all springs with usgi) But the bolt assembly is the spring loaded firing pin type. I believe a usgi extractor will not be an issue, can anyone confirm this?

Who do you guys recommend for .30 carbine Ammunition and/or loading equipment?

Any input is appreciated! this is my first firearm of this era!

O and this little tidbit, when did people decide to start pressing sleeves on the end of these carbine barrels in canada? as far as I can tell a standard carbine barrel meets non-restricted status anyways!

Marstar should carry the parts you might need, otherwise they can generally help you in finding them.

Canstar Arms sells M1 carbine magazines, look them up if you need some.

All I can offer you atm. Cheers.

Try gunsdora in the EE, also press on flash hider is not good enough for non-restricted status..i have one... regular barrel is restricted, Bits of Pieces in Vancouver can make a new barrel or sleeve it for non-restricted but research it first before altering..they are fun i have 3, a late model Inland in great shape, Bavarian carbine in great shape but plastic sttock, and a IBM with nonrestricted (over 18.5") barrel, for tactical rifle...FUN plinkers!!
