Plasma Cutting Video

I can watch computer-controlled machine videos for hours. We use a small CNC plasma cutter to make target bases; here's a fast-motion version.

I miss working with my water jet cutter at work. Those will cut through relatively anything it's insane.

Time it takes to cut is directly related to the thickness of what you are cutting. 1/4" for example I would estimate it at around 2 min or less.

Piercing thin plate is so civilized compared to thick plate. I worked at a shop that would plasma cut up to 2" plate. When they had to pierce instead of edge cut... Violent! Lol it was like a volcano erupting.

This part, the baseplate for a forward-falling steel popper, actually takes just under two minutes per. Then they're ground, brackets are welded on, and finally painted.

Why would they not predrill a hole first??
