Looks like with all of the "totally not an AR" black rifles flooding the market, the reason to buy USGI magazines over polymer is becoming more and more prominent!
WK180C has some compatibility problems
Type 97 (both gens) compatibility problems
SLR same thing
Any other guns I'm missing?

I'm really learning to enjoy USGI style mags as of late, and the newer stainless steel mags are frigging great! ASC makes them I believe.
Also, they're easier and more compatible with mag pouches as well.

Buy firearms with proper spec'ed Stanag mag wells and its not an issue, but in the event that you have some of these picky rifles, Lancer L5 mags are great.

Never had a PMAG get stuck in a milspec magwell. They also grip better in open top mag pouches. I’ll use USGI style mags but prefer polymer (really just PMAGs lol). Never got into the 10 rounders tbh, I like mag changes though (30 rounders would be nice).

I managed to get some 10/30s from from TNA before they sold out. Looking forward to testing them in the SLR

Polymer Mags work in my WK180C no problem; no stuck mag problems as well.

Unfortunately my Steel LAR-15 RRA Mags have guaranteed feeding problems in the WK180c because lips are lower. (they don't fit in a Type 97 as well).

Personally, I prefer Polymer mags haha (as long as it's a decent quality polymer).

Lancer mags are my favourite though, wish they had LAR-15 versions.

None of my mags have issues in my MCX. (Hera, Magpul, MFT, Lancer, RRA *my only steel mag*)

I use polymer mags for practice. I love their durability for repeated drops onto a concrete floor.

But for competing in matches I always use metal magazines. They just feed and eject so much more reliably.
