Playing with the Ruger BX-Trigger

I STAND CORRECTED IN THE VLEH TRIGGER GROUP. Yes I messed up in my description and "testing" of my VLEH trigger that had been taken out of our store build up gun. Initially I advised the trigger pressure was 7 lbs on this trigger group. Well as luck would have it I measured another stock trigger (on a standard TacSol model using factory trigger) and not the VELH. I tested the actual VELH one we removed and another complete gun for sale and found the average trigger pressure was 3.1 lbs...a far cry from 7 lbs. As a result we are replacing this trigger on the original build gun and reducing the price accordingly. I am sorry if a misled anyone of this matter as in fact this is an "improved" trigger and should not be replaced just to gain 1 lb improved pressure. Clearly the BX trigger is better but in my opinion not worth replacing for the cost. We will have a look inside and let everyone know what appears to be different with the stock trigger. Phil.

Well we took the original VLEH trigger group apart and comparing them with your initial pictures posted, they resemble the original parts profile and not the BX trigger parts. There were no signs of filing, stoning or grinding on the sear surfaces. I can only suspect that Ruger tested several original triggers before installation and took the best ones for the VLEH models? Does anyone else have any ideas? Phil.

i had assumed they polished up the parts a bit, but if your saying no than im at a loss.....

maybe it was a placebo trigger?
they just told us it was better and we said ok.
