Hey guys,
So my new weapon light arrives earlier this week and all I can say is it's awesome! The qd mount is auto adjusting and super secure. The light itself seems incredibly concentrated and bright fot it's rated 150 lumens, much nicer than my Princeton tech dive light. The pressure stitch is a fun tacticool novelty for me too.

So for the fun part.
The light works as it should in white light mode. How bout the IR mode? I don't have NVG :-(

Called up my leo buddy and we went out tonight and got to play with the flir system on their new ridged hull and pulled out the night vision. I can't give you specs on the unit we were using (forgot to ask) but as it it was incredibly clear and crisp though there was a bright moon and clear skies tonight. Switching the light to IR was at least twice as impressive as the wl mode. The boner to get night vision was immense lol the difference was night and day! It would paint objects couple hundred yards away. And stuff in the close to 75ish yards range was intense.

On a side note what was cool was taking my aim point comp ml3 and trying it out. On the first two clicks on the dot is not visible with the naked eye even in the dark but with the NV the dot was perfect! Didn't halo/flare or anything just a perfect bright green dot.

I wish I could have had the opportunity to take some pics or video but my phones camera has bit the dust.

All in all for my first time handling a Surefire product I couldn't be happier. The msrp is a little disgusting but hey it's super cool and the fde color rocks. Definitely recommended as a weapon light system.

Surefires can take a beating that's for sure. I have an X300 200 lumen model mounted 1 o'clock on my MK18 that has a DD muzzle climb mitigator on it and it has no issues getting smacked around with the concussion.

I am not sure if it is common knowledge, but if you use a movie cam with night mode you will be able to see IR light through it.
I did it with the old school Surefire incandescent lights with IR filter.

To the OP, I have one on my mk18 with a HSP mil620 offset mount with the surefire SR07 picatinny rail pressure switch and its money. The first time I used it outside I was shocked at how much the 150 lumen LED lit up, and the first time running it with a buddies NV's was unreal how much the IR vampire head illumimated. The best part was I got mine for an unreal price at DS a couple years ago on a closeout deal.

I have a couple of surefire lights with laser on my pistols
I have 2 m3x insight lights with lasers on my rifles.
Both are very good quality lights and lasers, I wouldn't use anything but those two brands.
Lets face the fact that when you're in a situation where you need a light on your firearm, my god it better damn work!

Hey guys, Thanks for the comments. N-P your totally right about how bright it is! It's almost unreal. I'm in a similar spot since I picked mine up from a fellow cgn'r bnib for for a smoking price (compared to msrp at least) and couldn't be happier with it. And MTB everything about this produced exudes quality as far as I'm concerned! And wouldn't hesitate to trust it will work every time

Where did you find the M3Xs? How do they compare to a M600 Scout?
