Well I was just cleaning up my last 2 auction purchases. An 8L LB No4 bubba'ed nothing really special.

And the surprise was the No1 MkIII

it turns out to be a 1893 MkII MLM but it looks like its been refit at some time with a C^ marked barrel, and what looks like a normal MkIII bolt. But no charger bridge, and no FTR markings.

What is the RIFLING?

5-groove Enfield?

Or 7-groove Metford?

Is there an "E" on the Knox-form?

Canada could not do a proper FTR because we had no Factory. We DID have some pretty smart Weapons Techs, though.

Sounds like a sweetheart!
