Hard to tell. The flash kind of ruined the pic. It is a sportered No. 4 of some sort. It has nice looking sights.
 
It is a sported Mk. I rifle.
The II on the cocking piece refers to the cocking piece; the Mk. I cocking piece was round.
 
Ok thanks for the info. Can you tell if the barrel is cut. A lot of ppl ask that when selling.

Also I found the serial number on the bolt barrel and magazine all match
 
Barrel is cut, original front and rear sights removed, new rear sight attached on barrel and ramp style front sight added. Overall looks like a pretty good sporterizing job done. This rifle can not be returned to original military configuration.

If the rifling is good it would make a good hunting rifle for someone.
 
Sad story. Take some of the best irons sights ever made off the rifle and replace them with ancient technology. To each their own, I guess. The Mk.2 have the trigger mounted to the reciever, Mk.1 have it mounted to the trigger guard. Barrel is cut.
