I think I recall reading other threads about this guy. Can't recall the name right now, but sounds like a goof we've heard of before.

Cost me 25%,and I had emails to back up my story

CC company said they couldn't do anything.

Well I eventually got a refund,less 25%.
 
Man that sounds shiesty AF. As Ive been shopping for barrels lately, this is good to know.
Spread the word for those that missed the old threads.
Hope it works out. 25% of 700 is a lot for nothing in return...
 
There is a way these used to get settled but unfortunately these days the advantage sits with the scammer.They know the ins and out and this is what they do, this is THEIR area of expertise.

1)Never buy used brass.

2)Buy from our reputable and long life sponsors.

always keep your order paper/email/text accessible. never do stuff on phone only always leave a paper trace so then you can prove it is not the part you order and start to have fun.

Phone recorder apps are free. They are not illegal in Canada. Everyone should have one. Delete the calls that you don't want, keep the ones that are important.
Just an FYI for those that don't know they are available.
 
What is your sales tax in your province?
for me in nova scotia a 550$ barrel with tax and shipping would be just over 650$

Im not saying the guy is right or didnt ripp any one off before, but some times im shocked once 15%tax is added and also shipping at 30-40$ gets added onto the cost of the item/items

But if its the wrong barrel, you deff should be able to return it for a FULL refund. He ordered the wrong thing. You asked for the correct item.its his falt
 
In the business transaction that Joe and I had it was to have 2 rifles rebuilt. When I first started in the build I asked around on who to use and Joe's name came up several times and was highly recommended. Even with me being in a different province I decided to proceed. Joe was very polite and more than helpful in the design and picking of the required components to make my rifles a reality. There were some misunderstands on my part about what was needed and how long the wait would be to have custom rifles built as this was my first time ever doing this and as such I assumed the time line to be different than what it was. All of the items that were purchased for the build, came as described all new and return packaging for my equipment was Perfect! In the end I received all the parts and pieces back and had someone more local rebuild the rifles. Knowing what I know now, I would still have him build me a rifle and may one day do that.
