Hey everyone. I have a Cooey 840 in 410. After I fire it the hammer stays tight against the firing pin and doesn't rebound back to the safe position. I've tried replacing both the hammer , trigger and hammer spring and it still does the same. The firing pin sticks out so I have to pull the hammer back into the safe position so I can open the action up.
Anyone got any ideas what's causing this ?

The spring may be installed with the steel piece that engages the hammer upside down. That steel piece should rock the hammer back...
