Okay, so I made a stupid STUPID move a couple years back in late March of 05.
I sold my Grampa's No 1 MkIII to a fellow at the Calgary gun Show. His plan was top restore it as a wall hanger. I would like to contact this CGN member but it was pre-feedback days. For the life of me I cannot recall what his handle here is. I think his name was Jim P. I am apprehensive to put out his last name in this post if it is even the right guy. He was living in Saskatchewan at the time of purchase.
Anyway, "Jim" if you are out there would you mind dropping me a PM in regards to this No1 MKIII ser. 99xx. I would certainly appreciate it. If anyone else knows the gent I am trying to locate I'd sure appreciate a note too.
