I know eh? The bullet just goes right out there! They are soooo long, and don't even come close to fitting in the magazine. I'll get that fixed, when I re-barrel with a Kreiger from Obtunded one day. I've only got 500 rounds down range on this one, so it's going to be a while yet....hoping on getting to 5000 rounds on the factory barrel.

I hear ya. I'm loving mine and the groups it's giving me. Mine seems to like the 168s too. Varget powder is next on my list of things to get if I can find some. So far I've been using IMR 4895 and 4064 with good results.

BTW, sweet picture hope you have a second set of dog tags. :p

Cheers,

Jacko

Its true that the police like the 168 gr hornady, varget and CCI. But, if you have a chance, try the Lapua 155gr scenar, with 45gr too 46 gr of varget, Lapua Case and cci-br2and im pretty sure that you have your best load. At the range we are 3 guys who shoot that load and this is a winner. Last week i have do a 0.091 moa 5 shot group and that rarely go up too .35 moa 100 yard. For me the police is a good rifle who cant shoot tight group with a trigger job and no other modification.

not to sure why you shot the dog tags...............

Agreed. I'm not military but something erks me about that. Am I correct in assuming that usually the only time a dog tag is ripped off the chain or damaged is to take back after the soldier is deceased? Seems disrespectful to me to shoot them. I may be out of lunch with this, but it instantly bugged me.

Nice shooting, yes. But.....

I think that those are fake dog tags... there is a littlesticker residue on them and they look nothing like my brothers tags.

I am struggling to read them. The dog tags int he pic are certainly the correct "style", but based on what I THINK I can read on them, I think they are fake/imitation ones.

they have
'do not remove'
'ne pas enlever'
in the picture...as do the real ones...I zoomed in, and compared them to the original backing and they have the correct wording

Canadian Forces identity discs (abbreviated "I discs") are designed to be broken in two in the case of fatality; the lower half is returned to National Defence Headquarters with the member's personal documents, while the upper half remains on the body. The tags contain the following information: [6]

* Upper half:
o Service Number (SN)
o Initials and surname
o Religion and blood group with RH factor
o The legend "CDN FORCES CDN" (or for foreign nationals, the name of the country the individual represents)
o The text "DO NOT REMOVE / NE PAS ENLEVER" on the reverse
* Lower half: identical, except it does not contain the blood type, and the reverse is blank.

Before the Service Number was introduced in the 1990s, military personnel were identified on the I discs (as well as other documents) by their Social Insurance Number.

------

but they still don't look like real tags to me, but what do I know, I've never seen real canadian dog tags, just pictures

I never thought it could be the back side of them. In that case, GunBoy is right and they are probably real.
