Very nice Setup Riflechair... I did the same setup but in stag and it's a 1 in 9. The flash hider is the right one from what I remember.

I'm 90% sure the C7A1 and A2 are running a 1:7 twist from conversations I had in the rifle butts with gunnerlove (ie MacKeigan) last year at CFSAC

"C7's" did not have an optical sight, it had the old style A1 type reciever, the barrel was heavy, light heavy and the flash hider had no slots on the bottom. You will not be able to install a front sight assembly with a bayonet lug on that barrel because the cross pins will not line up. The front sight assemblies are fitted to the barrel then the holes are drilled for the taper pins. "C7A1" had flat top recievers and optical sights and I tgink the C7A2 now have the carbine stocks fitted. Might be wrong about that.

Hmmmmm
You saying I'm SOL in the bayo lug dept?

Actually I have a USM8A1 made by TWB
I FIGURE SHE WOULD BE CLOSE ENOUGH.
SHE FITS ON MY MOSSBERG 590SP AS WELL.

Sorry about the caps lock - I'm not shouting....

Yes you can buy a blank front sight with a bayo lug, get someone to drill the holes and install the original pins...That's what I did. I think I have a DPMS front sight on mine

HBAR barrel? I'm filing a protest with the CRO! :)

C7 and M16a2 barrels are what is described as "Govt. profile" by some US barrel manufacturers. They are pencil thin under the handguards, and heavy outside the handguards. Many of the Colt sporters were like this too.
