Where did ya get the happy face?

What constriction choke did you use?

Also might not help much because of the divots under the cap, but try some oil on the rubber seal under the cap so it doesn't deform as much when tightening the cap.

I am only just learning about the impact of difference chokes and shot sizes.

I have a 13" backpacker that I just had threaded for chokes. Prior to the chokes my 40 yd pattern was something more like a 6 foot circle with #6, 2-3/4" shells. Within 25 yds I couldnt miss though.

Unfortunately, I havent been able to patern it yet with the chokes I bought. I am hoping for a tighter pattern because I use the gun for gophers. I'd like tight enough coverage to garauntee a hit at 40 yds. What you have looks pretty good to me.

Does anyone know if a certain shot size works best with a certain choke? I have a full and a modified choke. Is there such a thing as too tight of a choke?

Does the forcing cone have any impact on pattern?

Anything else that can be done to tighten it up?

(I could shoot more lead I guess but I'd rather not suffer the recoil)

The 12.5" and 8.5" Grizzly will always shoot terribly high with a bead sight. Look at the side profile of the gun and note the receiver height in comparison with the height of the bead, and you will see the bead sits considerably lower than the top of the receiver. To see the bead with your eye flush to the receiver you need to raise the barrel up, hence why it shoots high.

I never used to be a fan of ghost ring sights as I found them unwieldy on a small shotgun but they would be better than the bead in this case. Or a higher blade style sight like Dlask puts on their barrels, at the very least.
