i just pick up a 22-250 with a B&L 3000 3x9x50 scope, are these the same as the bushnell elite?

Elite was B&L's main model series when the riflescope part of the business was sold to Bushnell. Bushnell continued them for a while, then dropped the Bausch&Lomb brand name and re-badged the Elite series models as Bushnell Elite. So yes, they are the same, except that it was a while ago and you could assume they have made some changes to keep up.
