Definately a trap model...looks to be in very nice shape...If it's still tight...lever right of center..bores excellent...etc..I wouldn't let it go for less than $1200...Bluing looks mint too!!!

What are the numbers following the serial number J43 or T43 .yeah have to agree with GS 30-06 1200 to 1600 is not unreasonable .

It is simply a citori trap gun there were no models from that time period no screw chokes $850- $1100 depending on condition it only sold for about $1000 new st that time

As rembolt says grade 1 trap. In 79 on you could also get a grade 2 and grade V which was just differences in cosmetics like engraving and wood grain and maybe rib height??. The mechanics are all the same.
Choke tubes were started to be fitted in 79 and some had them but not all.

From the book

12 ga., similar to Standard Citori, 30 or 32 in. barrels, trap chokes, Monte Carlo stock, recoil pad. Invector chokes became standard in 1988, Invector Plus chokes with ported barrels became an option in 1992, and were made standard in 1993, new Special Trap models were introduced during 1995 with decreased weight (1/4 lb. lighter) and better swing/balance characteristics. Mfg. 1974-current.
Citori Trap Grade I

w/o choke tube, mfg. 1974-1978, with 1st design choke tube 1979-1994
