Hi, just wanted to post a PSA to ask that you please check your descriptions on your site. I purchased a CVA scout based on the description saying it was a TD. TD being take-down. It arrived yesterday and sure enough it is not a take-down model. I hope you can check your other descriptions for any other scouts you may have that say TD but are not.

Thank you

Just curious if you're going to keep it or return it? I have the same one and its super fun but unfortunately had to go back to cva for waranty work.
I will keep it, i would prefer the takedown but i guess those are only available in the SS barrel. Might i ask what the warranty issue was? I noticed mine had the blueing worn away behind the muzzle where it rubbed against the plastic part attached to the packing foam.

Indeed. I was pretty surprised it got through qc. I thought all firearms were test fired. Are you planning on shooting 9mm out of yours? It's easily doable and pretty fun. Accuracy wasn't great but the chamber was effed as well.

Improperly cut chamber - no throat. Almost like they missed a step.
Yep. When a chambered a round it pressed the bullet into the rifling/ leade and when trying to extract it would pull the bullet partway out of the case. I had started a different thread on it before I even purchased it. Tried seating bullets deeper and tried to chamber other factory ammo to no avail.

And to the op, for what its worth, mine was marked as a td model as well purchased new from prairie gun traders. I knew it wasn't however since I have a couple other scouts and only the stainless are td with a threaded muzzle.

Yeah for future reference, all TD Scout models from CVA are in stainless only. They do explain this in one of their marketing videos for the V2 Scout but I have seen more than one Canadian retailer say their Scout's are TD when they are not, which can be frustrating for the buyer.
I had a .243 Scout TD. Cool little rig! In my opinion, the TD feature is what makes these rifles shine.

Personally I find them so handy and compact that they dont need to be taken down anyway. I bought the 350 legend for fun and to take along on canoe trips.
Yeah, that is true. Without a receiver adding length to it, they are very short overall even without being taken down. I did find that the TD feature enhances the rifles ease of packing in a hiking bag but overall it's a great single shot either way. They definitely excel as a boat or pack gun, I have found.

I wont buy guns online at all any more. Too many screw ups, (always in the dealers favor it seems). Living on Vancouver Island I buy across counter only at Cabela's (Nanaimo), Canadian Tire (Duncan), or Gone Fishing (Duncan).
I could have inspected it for an hour and never caught this unless I chambered a live round (which im sure the gun store would appreciate) or have a go gauge which i wouldn't think to try on a new gun.

I think i saw your post in another thread after i had made the order (i believe i wrote something along the lines of "oh how i hope thats not the case" lol

No i only plan to use factory hunting loads for the time being. I normally use a 12ga for deer but i blew out my shoulder this spring so i wanted to pick up something with less recoil to help reduce any damage lll

I checked it out, the SKU is correct for what you got, the TD after the model name isn't for sure...
I experienced this kinda thing before, not from PR, but yeah, I learned the same lesson a few times, I always double check the SKU now, match it up with manufacturers website product, try and make sure I know what I'm buying, I got different items I was expecting a few times, website typos happen, I'm sure PR would make it right if you asked them, they are a good shop.
