Should give them a call, I’m sure it would be dealt with.
Joel reached out to me and he was very kind in offering solutions as he wanted to make it up to me for the mistake in the listing. I let him know that, while appreciated, nothing more needed to happen and just him reaching out was plenty. He seems like a really good guy and he encouraged me to reach out to him directly for my next order, which I will.

maybe i'm a bit slow but can't you just pop off the forend and then take off the barrel?
Yeah, they're all "take-downs" in that sense; after you remove a screw or two in the fore-end the barrel comes right off. But any bolt-action rifle is also a take-down if you are willing to use tools to remove the barreled action from the stock.

A legitimate take-down has a latch of some type that can be opened/closed with no need for any tools.

I like the CVA Scout models, but after only a couple years in circulation they already have so many "versions" and "generations" and other slight differences (but with considerable cost differences) that it's tough to keep track of what's what. Websites might use stock pics that illustrate slightly different models than are being described as well.
