Please help find a .303 British box magazine and few stripper clips

Hi, Profeser!

There are at least half a dozen different magazines for the Lee-Enfield rifle.

For the older rifles there are at least 4 different ones and they are made by 7 different makers through a period of over 60 years.

For the later models, there are at least 3 distinct types, made in any of 5 different plants, not counting pre-production mags made in another plant.

If you can tell us the manufacturer, model and year of your rifle and any markings (under the Bolt-handle on the early rifles, left side of the Butt Socket or left side of the Receiver on late rifles), it is likely that someone will have a spare CORRECT mag for your rifle.

They are not strictly interchangeable, although the later ones are supposed to be. Magazines for the early rifles were handmade and individually-fitted.

As to CHARGERS, likely someone has a few kicking around. Chargers, if they don't want to feed, can be slicked-up wonderfully with a bit of Crocus Cloth used on the INSIDE of the feed-lips. Loading them is easy and they feed very well if you load them the Army way: _-_-_.

Hope this helps.

Hi Profeser, chances are you either have a No1Mk3*, or one of the No4 variants. Of course if you have a more unsual Lee Enfield we'll rejoyce and dance but let's see what you have first :)

Easiest way to tell between both is: the No1Mk3 has its rear sight mounted on the barrel, while the No4 has it mounted at the back of the receiver.

Your rifle is a No.1 Mark3, there are magazines and stripper clips available from a few of the site sponsors like Marstars, Ellwood Epps and Tradex. Take a look on their sites, I'm sure one of them can help you out.
