I took these pictures for a friend of mine, he was hoping someone could help identify/value this gun.

He is what he told me

It's a Belgium pinshooter, circa 1865, sixty calibre

Any info you have would be appreciated

Thanks

about all I can say is that it is what you said it was; made in Belgium somewhere between 1850 and 1865 ish and shoots a pinfire shell. Belgian guns as a group are economy guns and personally I would't pay over $150 for it, assuming it is good repair.

Well its a Belgian Pin Fire and probebly 15 MIL is the caliber.
Looks in decent shape. The walnut looks EX!
How long are the barrels?
I think its worth at least $300 if the Barrels are rifled and the bores are decent. Maby more.
Ive seen ones not as nice as yours go for over $350 US
Give me more details!!!

It should have a Little OVAL with ELG stamped inside the oval.
Thats a Belgian proof mark

No other markings on it? There should at least be an inspector's letter stamp (usually a letter with a small crown over it), that can be used to get a more precise date.
