I'll stand my ground ................... unless proven t'utherwise............

First, Kamlooky, there are no guns called Eibar. That's a town, not a gun. As John points out, Eibar is 1250 km from Liege, another town, but it's in Belgium. Second, the proof of the gun's origins will be in the proofs. They will either be Belgian or Spanish (or perhaps Italian from the looks of it, IMHO). But they will be definitive!

Hey, all you proof guys, did you see what I did there? Hahahahaha!

It looks very similar to a Spanish made gun, usually marked "El Faisan", and as Looky pointed out, made in Eibar Spain. I don't know who copied whom. Worth a couple hundred bucks either way.

It's an el faisan . They were made in spain and sold under that name. The belgian version is named "le braconnier" and it came as a single shot or side by side.

Well then, I'm partly right.
I've always call'd'im Eibars.
El Faisan sounds mawr ahhpropee-ate.

And the geeawwgruffy lesson............kewl.

hmm, remains to be seen. I'm going with the theory the OP stated "made in Belgium" because probably stamped on a barrel is "made in Belgium". Really could go either way though.
