Any help in providing a value for a S&W Model 36 2" Prohib Chiefs Special in excellent condition would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely sell quick in the $250-$300 range. Not so much after that price. M36s are quite common even as a 12(6).
The Airweight or Bodyguard models are a bit rarer and more collector value. The 9mm one is also worth more.

^^ What he said... Unfortunately there is very little demand for 12.6 as the eligible pool is shrinking every day. Those made pre-1946 are 12.7 eligible and have some value.

A buddy just bought a nice one, with box, for $150. Guy tried to sell it for some time.

Put it on ee for $250 and see what happens.

Other than a nice plinker, what applications would it fill? Perhaps "undercover" matches? Okay, but those matches are usually attached to another competition event and it would attract few participants.

Unfortunately, it's a C$200.00 gun..all in...
