I wanted to write this post as soon as I got home 30 min ago... Grabbed this gun for almost nothing in a barn auction sale...Heard it was a Beretta so I bidded an won the auction. Auctionners just yeld « very good condition beretta SXS» and I was thinking bidding on a 626 or older silver hawk...Anyway, It's fine and in a truly unbelievable shape. almost perfect on my opinion. Wood has no marks and closing lever is way right of tang...Immaculate perfect bores, blue is 100% on receiver and Barrells 100and interior don't have any gun powder residue...Pristine barrels...Well treated gun.
Shot 25 target load with it on my land and it's 100%. Action is as tight as a new one and ejectors shoots empty shells 15 foot behind!!. Clearly the gun has not been run at all.
My problem is that I don't have any clue what model/year except that it's a Grade 4 as written under the receiver. I'm asking help of the beretta nuts here on the forum. I've called my gunsmith and can't help me if he doesn't see the gun...but it's 1h drive from here so it will be waiting for the next trip to the city. I'm trying my luck here. I have interest in knowing about the gun so I could price it to sell...I don't have any idea about value because I don't know anything except the Grade 4 mark. If any of you can help it would be very nice. Here are a few pictures.
12 ga 2"3/4 28" barrels/ FULL/MD, vent ribs, SST, Barrel selector with safety, nice and thick bird engraving on lever... pietro beretta Cardone Italy, Grade 4
Model? Value? Year? Quality? Rare or common? Can you help?
