I need to remove rear sight from Benelli MR1 upper. One of the screws went out pretty easy after heating, but the second one is tight. Tried using regular and "impact grade" bits with the same result. Also tried to "shake" it by driving it in (that is why the black bit on the picture is bent in the opposite direction). Any ideas?.. Thanks

There is a little tool called an "impact driver" that will help with frozen or over torqued screws...you can get them pretty much anywhere tools are sold including canadian tire.
A little heat and a quick rap with a hammer on the driver hopefully will get it moving.
good luck

Sometimes tightening it first before trying to loosen works.
Other than that, you can alternately heat, then melt wax into the threads. Do this a few times. It gets stubborn engine plugs out.

I have never seen a torx bit shear off like that. Must have been some choice cursing going on.

Try soaking it with penetrating oil for awhile..Apply heat then use the "impact" method for removal if you don't have an impact driver...You'll need help here...Have someone hold the upper securely while you apply a downwards force while twisting the screw in a counter clockwise direction while rapping it with a hammer..Should work...if not..swearing at it helps too..

Thank you all!:D
Soaked it in a Liquid Wrench for 20 minutes. While soaking I hammered the screw a few times at both sides using torx bit for the head side and a punch for the tip. After that I did unscrew it with dewalt drill set for 17 (max) torque...
Also - Mastercraft shiny (chromed?) bits from Canadian Tire are stronger than DeWalt "impact ready" cr@p....

Try something called Fluid Film, bought mine at Princess auto. Has worked wonders on stuff for me.
Learned about it from a freinds dad. I had a new sled trailer with a T bolt to tilt the trailer, would not loosen with a 24 inch pipe wrench. He undid it by hand after 5 minutes with this stuff.
