I have a very old 12G JC Higgins Shotgun. It has a funny thing on the end of the barrel (cant be removed unless sawed off) the chokes screw inside of this thing.

I only have one Choke that says "Medium Range" on it.
I have not been able to get hold of any other chokes because it is such an old gun.

I bought his Gun mainly to shoot Ducks and geese.
My question is this .... is this choke right for hunting flying targets ??
Should I keep the choke or have it taken off ??
The next pictures shows shots taken from + - 12 Yards
1 shot with a no6 shot with the choke and one with a no6 shot with the choke removed.

The next two pics is shots taken from + - 12 yards with no2 shot, one with the choke and one without.

As you can see the spread of pellets is bigget without the choke on both the no6 and no2 shot.
So ..... for hunting Ducks and Geese will you keep this "Medium Range" choke or remove it ????
Thanks ..
