i have a sks and a scope mount , the scope mount goes untop of the rear cover, it also looks like it has to go through the hole know as the take down lever on the receiver. how do i take out this lever without damaging it , it has a little bump on the side preventing it from failing out of the side , please help

to remove the take down lever pin , you need to dremel the lug off the pin and then hand file till it slides out .

you could reuse the same lever again but you have to drilling out the rest of the lug and replace it with another lug or just buy another take down lever from marstar or sksman.

i have done it before when i use the b-mount cover and it was crap so i ended up putting the same lever back in .

thank you , i ended up by using a file and i did everything slowly by hand, i even had to file the rail down about a quarters width becuase it was too high , the wholes lined up great just to high, i guess its a custom fit, it also has two screws on the back that can be tighted to reduce play, thanks for all the help, now for a scope

p.s if you ever do what i did dont use a grinder just becuase your drunk buddy says so file by hand and slowly , ie dont take to much off the rail when you file
