Sorry, would have original had a peep sight on it.
I wasn't being a wise guy, I googled it lol
My guess , it would have been something like the one on the model 82.

Model 62 was introduced about 39-40. Did not continue production post war. Same a model 60 only (as stated) should have a peep site (front site hooded as shown in picture). Was supposed to be an open sighted 60 that could be used for target shooting with the peep.

Value? Such Canadiana is priceless. It would be valued more if the rear sight was present (or could be found at all). As it sits now, it's certainly more rare than the average repeater, but the main element that differentiates it is missing.

Yes, the model 62 exisis. I have one with it's original box. It is the same as the model 60 except it was a "target version" meaning it had a hooded front sight and a rear peep sight. The gun came with 2 apertures for the peep, a target aperture and a hunting one. The peep sight is the same one used on the model 82. The model 62, as mentioned, was made for a short time and are not that easy to find today. As for value, with any Cooey like this you will only see value from a Cooey collector. That being said, I would not let the one I have with box and both apertures go for less than $275.00. But it is also in like new original condition. Of course someone who just wants an old Cooey shooter will not pay that. It would be a collector.
