want a real soft plinker load with some accuracy so i was thinking of using sabots and pistol bullets. there are only two choices 357 and 40 cal. anyone try these ? did it work? what weight of bullets? my powder will be unique as i have 8 pounds of it. used it in trigger practice loads in a 308. used remington rnsp 110 gr carbine bullets and had 5 shot ragged hole groups at 50 yds. at 100 yds just over an inch. these only needed 17 grs of powder. got lucky on that one. any help would be appreciated. harold
ps. will be using unsized cast bullets if i have the right mould.

from my experience sabot's and accuracy don't go in the same sentence, frustration and disappointment on the other hand describe what you'll experience.. The 458 is a pussy cat with cast bullets and a 60% case full of trail boss, light recoil and far better accuracy to keep you coming back for more and more
