Hi,
Recently I'm planning to buy some rifles. There are some big calibre in my list, which I have never been shot before.
That brought me a question: How's its feels like? Will it beyond my control?
I did some research, there are some vidos, charts to compare, but still have no idea how's it supposed to feel like since
I have only shot a few rifles, some of it has muzzlebrake, some hasn't, or with recoil control like M16.
When compare to the chart, for example, .338LM (Don't know which rifle being shot) has very similar recoil as .375H&H.
Therefore, it seemed meaningless to compare different guns / calibres and recoil. This brought me another thought.
Is it possible to have list like a "Standard rifle list", so people can compare to the recoil with the one has recoil control?
The list in my mind is something like this:
"Standard rifle list"
(All without muzzlebrake, BOSS, blast control, silencer, and recoil control, JUST PLAIN rifle,
normal cartridge, and most popular calibre in Canada. Otherwise the list will go on forever.)
Recoil listed from low to high.
CZ455 .22LR
......
Tikka T3x LITE Stainless .308 Win
Remington 30-06 Sprg.
Remington .300 Win mag
......
Winchester Safari Ex .375H&H
etc,
etc,
For example, if someone's wondering how's Browning .300 Win Mag w/ BOSS recoil feels like, ss I personally have a
Browning .300Win Mag w/BOSS and Remington MTN LSS 30-06, so I can tell its recoil is between Rem 30-06, and
Tikka T3 .308.
Does this list make sense? The only problem I can imagine is .375H&H. Since only a few firearms in that calibre available,
the best answer I can say...: Feels like .375H&H's recoil.
There are some cartridge gaps left. Can anyone help to finished the list?
Thanks.
