With separate events per division? It depends on how it’s implemented. If it’s just different days on the same courses of fire some people will get to shoot them multiple times which is more of a benefit here than in USPSA with locap and hicap divisions.

It would not really be fair competing against someone who got to shoot a practice run in a different division.

I do not like the idea of separate matches for the different divisions. Nationals should be one large event, and you get to shoot one division. For future events we might need more days to complete the match and look at formats like they use at Extreme Euro or Baltic Storm for example. If the growth of the sport is strong enough, our nationals will have to grow.

Simply Unacceptable. Unfair competition to shoot stages that you already know or have shot against other competitors that only have 5 minutes max to figure out the best way to shoot them.

Moot point. All the top contenders will shoot all events and for there rest it won't matter anyways. I have few examples from side-by-side matches (including IPSC WS in Florida + US IPSC Nationals week after) and they aren't conclusive.

Agreed. It was to be expected.

Good on the organizers to see if they can accommodate more shooters. That must be a hell of a challenge.

Your interpretation of this rule may differ... Besides, most of those events did made reasonable changes in the courses of fire to make it moot point also.

Also, in application to USPSA - the games are different enough between hi-cap and lo-cap, so same stages will have completely different plans between those events. This, however, not relevant in Canada.

In my view, separate events in USPSA were there to allow top guns to shoot multiple of them. That's how was back-to-back Nationals until 2011..12 (Vegas). Then it became 3..4 (Classic + Back to back, then separate Prod and separate Optics). Then 13 days of back-to-back in 2018 in Florida, which was way to long one for everyone, especially MD. But now USPSA has concerns for match staff availability, so they went back to 2 back-to-back events (one East and one West) instead of 4 separate ones. Personally I liked a dedicated SS + Revolver one and will for sure miss it.
