Many companies will use boxes with slots for other items, even though items may not be included.

I would go back to Canadian tire. They may gave you the wrong box, or sometimes people swap items in the box. I had that happen with me before.

They gave me the right box.
It is just that the chokes is not the same as i've had before.
I have owned at least 4 rem 870's in 20 gauge before.
This choke sticks out about 1/2 inch and can only be hand tightened.
It is nice in ss steel and is written modified

That the company that does warranty for Remington in Canada.

Sounds like they put a extended choke in it, for tool-less changes.
