just bought a pound of ramshot x-terminator powder cooking up loads for my triple duece with 52gr btsp has anyone used it any problems . I know the 222 was developed to burn 4198 way back by remington but thought I would try something new.Let me know Daniel

I've used it in the 223 (CZ 527 varmint) with pretty good success, I know it's not the same as 222, but pretty close.

My original load was 27.5gr Benchmark with 52 HP Opel bullets or varmint grenades which were super accurate. I ran out of powder and the store ran out too, so I tried some x-terminator. I haven't completely re-worked the load with x-term yet but it seems to meter extremely consistently, and the pressure trace curves (i've got a strain gage on the gun) look really good so I think I may stay with it.
 
nice i just shoot 8 3 shoot groups and i got 2 in one hole slightly inlarged one half inch away so it looks interesting im using 52 gr sierra btsp match kings seems to word well when it stops raining it may shoot better Daniel

On a quick look, it would appear X-Terminator is somewhere between H4198 and H4895 for burn rate. See chart below. H4198 based on Hodgdon data does look to be the ideal powder for velocity, and H4895 a bit too slow. So you may be fine with it, or a tad slow. I like full cases of powder, and you may get that with the higher loads. Benchmark or VVN120 would be others to try.

Always remember that the same burn rate does not mean the powder weight is the same...
 
I've also picked up some x-term for use with the 36 gr Barnes varmint grenade, but have not had a chance to load some up. I was getting some .4 to .6" 5 shot groups at 100 yds with Win 748. Your groups look promising and I can't wait to load some up and try them.
