PLease remove

As I have seen 2 of the same model of firearms within a few serial numbers of each other both prefer different ammo so all you can do is try. I have had good luck with groups from Blazer’s 22 ammo and it’s not that expensive. I am interested in the Henry AR-7 so let us know how you make out with grouping. I really want one for stand hunting deer here as I could put the firearm in my back pack for the walk in.
A guy at the gun club used to own one and said he couldn’t get the thing to shoot consistently. He figured because one site was on the receiver and the other on the barrel every time you took it apart or put it together the POI changed.

Thanks Found.
I have several different brands to try from Winchester, Federal, Elly & CCI.
I will let you know.
Hopefully going to try out this weekend at the range.

Mine does really well with Thunderbolts. No issues at all with them. As a side note, I have also been shooting CBees and POI is the same as the Thunderbolts up to 25 yards. The CBees are good for pest control around the house and VERY quiet.

Hope this helps.

you do know hunting deer with a rimfire is illegal

anyway every gun is going to like something different even if its the same make a model

Good point, but I did not mean I would hunt deer with the AR-7. It is to be used as a backup for partridge and rabbit that happen to come by while I hunt deer with the correct centerfire rifle.

hmm would the stock act as a case

Well the receiver with the serial number on it is the "firearm" itself and that is held inside the stock during transport so I would say yes. Not sure how LEO's would interpret that one though. The rifle is also disassembled when stowed so that will probably work in your favour. Chances are you will have it in a backpack or something anyway so that works as a "six sided container".
