Hey cgners, can you guys school me on the differences between the no1 no2 etc and the mkl mkll etc. I have looked online a bit but am still very confounded to it all. Any help would be appreciated. I thought they were all the same until a few weeks ago so I need some help. cheers

militaryhistory.about.com, then search Lee Enfield...started as the Lee-Metford/Magazine Rifle Mk. 1 in 1888, and wound up it's service life with the No. 4, Mk. 2, which was the British Army's standard rifle until 1957. That site will give you the details.
