I'm not a bipod guy. I use a bunny ear bag in the back and an adjustable front rest with a small bag. I didn't want to deal with mounting a bipod on multiple rifles or buying multiple bipods.
For your scope choice it's a pretty good pick but take a look at the leupold vx5 hd 3-15×44. Precision optics in B.C. Is the site sponsor I got mine from. I picked one up a few months ago and optically it is much better than my 4-16×44 viper.
They are in the same price point as well.
Great choice on the rifle as well. As for muzzle brake I've always worked on the assumption that as long as the tolerances are good with no machining defects, one brake is as good as another accuracy wise.
