Trying to find out info on the above. Rifle appears to be in good to very good original condition. Any info and ideas on value would be appreciated.

Ljungman are really neat rifles, very soft shooting in a very flat shooting cartridge. But be awear, they take some getting used to. You ever heard of M1 Thumb? Imagine that x100 if you get a finger caught in a Ljungmans bolt! Here in the States they seem to go for $1300-1800 depending on year & condition.

In Canada you can generally find G-VG samples for $7-800 or so. Original slings/bayonets would add to that. Spare mags sell for $200+...

Yep. Cost a buddy of mine 4 stiches in his thumb when he put his finger in the action while looking at one at a gun show. To make it worse it was my gun.

Little long but well worth the read.
Since there is no adjustment on gas psi on the 42. Be aware of what ammo you use.
Start light...
42 is kinda hard on brass too.

If you're not into reloading yet I think

PPU - 6.5x55mm Swedish, 139Gr, would be a good place to start.
