The BSA symbol on the Knox-form is not three SMLEs, but three Martini-Henrys, 'piled', in military parlance, or 'stacked', as it is sometimes referred to. Hence the BSA trademark motto for their airgun pellets - 'Pylarm', a pun on the term.
