Looking at buying a used 3-1/2" BPS and would lke to use it for deer some day. Browning website lists one in fine print but not listed when you click on deer special barrels. Anybody on here have the inside scoop. Maybe I should pass on this one and wait for a 3" to come along at the right price.

On an 870 the 3" barrels fit and work on the 3 1/2" action, you just can't chamber a 3 1/2" round while it's on. I would look into whether or not this is the case with the Browning. I've never seen anyone offering a 3 1/2" slug anyways.

Winchester and browning both say not to use a 3" on an 3.5" or 3.5" on a 3".

I have access to a brand new bps 3 1/2" cantilever scope mount barrel but they're not cheap.......
