I have a 4 x 12 x 40 AO Bell Scope.

Above the numbers that correspond to the magnification numbers are three additional numbers that are labeled A (yellow), E (red) and O (white). The larger the magnification number, the larger these groups of numbers appear. What are these groups of numbers?

It has a ballistic elevation turret but a standard windage turret (I hope I have that terminalogy correct). If I remove the cap from the elevation turret it looks similar to one click / 1/4" @ 100yd windage turret. With the cap installed the elevation turret moves 25 yds / click on the scale of the cap. In addition to this, the scope came with two caps marked TRC1 and TRC2. What is this all about?

And lastly, what type of reticle is this? The top horizontal line shoots about 6.5" higher at 100 yds with my 30 06 (same load and bullet).

If I have not described anything adequately or if addition information or pictures are required, please let me know.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me with this.

I "believe" that the numbers represent range in yards for specific game targets that fit between the horizontal reticle lines.... eg an elk, deer, coyote (or similar variation in game size). so that at 6x a deer would be 250 yds if its height was contained within the two horizontal lines .. an elk would be 200 yds and a coyote would be 325 yds distance ... OR some similar relationship (I dont know if the mfr has used yards or meters or coyotes or groundhogs or length of the "willly" ... but you get the idea??)

The caps are some sort of "ballistic" adjustment presumably loosely related to bullet trajectory for two different loads
